Joanne Cariaso-Gacayan y Zafra was born and raised amidst the picturesque landscapes of La Union, Philippines where she discovered her artistic talents alongside her siblings. She graduated with honors from the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and then, together with her husband, Manny, they pursued a Masters in Family Mediation in Florence, Italy.

Venturing into a vibrant career path encompassing store design, visual merchandising, and events, she founded The Event Curators, Inc. in 2012, earning trust from distinguished clients such as Estee Lauder Group, Google, and APEC-CEO Summit.

After 25 years, she picked up her paint brushes again after much prodding by her children and eventually focused on watercolors, garnering acclaim in juried exhibitions worldwide and receiving accolades from Singapore, Japan, and France. She&apo;s known for her distinct happy palette, loose painting style of portraits, and still life, specifically lace.

Alongside her creatively inclined family, Joanne established The G Studio and launched Art Reflections Consultancy, facilitating intuitive art workshops, collaborating with HR departments for employee wellness initiatives, and partnering with marketing leaders for corporate events.

Currently, Joanne is an active member of the Artists Guild of La Union (AGLAUN) and proudly serves as the President of the Philippine Guild of Watercolorists (PGW), the largest watercolor organization in the country.
